It has been a long time since I last emailed everyone, and things have been moving along here at Blog Flux.First off - wow. Our growth rate has been phenomenal. MapStats is currently counting roughly 325,000 unique visitors a day and 600,000 pageviews a day with over 1500 blogs using it. LinkLog has over 500 blogs actively using it, and has tracked almost 500,000 clicks. Our Alexa rank is consistently around 10,000 and so it's great to see our services popular with bloggers :-)Our 'big' update has been the addition of an XML-RPC server to our Blog Flux Pinger. You can get more info on how to use it here - http://pinger.blogflux.com/xml-rpc.php Furthermore, we have strengthened the spam protection a lot more, and it should help keep things running smoothly.There are quite a few miscellaneous updates that have happened that I have been adding to our blog - http://blog.blogflux.com/ Too small to mention in this email, so if you are interested, go read it there (and/or subscribe to our feed).Lastly, there will be an announcement soon about us joining/merging into a network. Before gasps of 'oh noes' and hate-email is sent my way, I want to be very clear about it. Blog Flux as a site will not change. No popups, no silly network bar on top, no nothing in your face. Let me say it distinctly - "None of our services will change." It will still be status quo. The reasons behind this decision are slightly complex, but it lets us share our resources, add more features, and also approve blogs quicker (the backlog had gotten as big as 1600 blogs awaiting approval, but it.s been all dealt with since then).We are working on a new feature we hope to have ready in roughly a month - I'm quite excited about it, and I look forward to emailing you all about it when the time comes!Regards,Ahmed FarooqPS.
